IMPORTANT-Mark Your Calendar No Religious Education classes on the following dates: Sunday, Sept. 25, Wednesday, Sept. 28, & Sunday, Oct. 9 OVASE and Sanctity of Life - What is my child learning? In 2002, Catholic Bishops developed the Charter for the Protection of Children and Young People. This document also created the Office of Victim Assistance & Safe Environment (OVASE) in every diocese. One of OVASE's objectives is to educate adults and children on abuse prevention. OVASE education is required for all staff/volunteers that minister to children, all children enrolled in religious education programs or Catholic schools, and the parents of the children enrolled in RE programs or Catholic school. The OVASE curriculum is an anti-victimization program to protect your child. To learn more about the OVASE curriculum and our sanctity of life presentations, parents of children enrolled in our catechetical programs are invited to attend the OVASE and respect life training: Thursday, Sept. 29, 7 p.m., Msgr. Hubertus Hall 1 st Year High School Confirmation One-day Retreat (HS1) Saturday, Oct. 1, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., Msgr. Hubertus Hall
IMPORTANT: There will be NO CLASSES for students of HS1 on Sunday, Oct. 2. MANDATORY Parent Conference for parents of 3 rd Year Confirmation Preparation High School students (HS3) Sunday, Oct. 2, 7 p.m., Msgr. Hubertus Hall Attendance at these parent conferences is one of the elements required to determine a child's readiness to receive the sacrament . |
