But how are they to call on one in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in one whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone to proclaim him? And how are they to proclaim him unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!” Romans 10.14-15 The religious education program at St. Anthony Mary Claret is thriving and growing. This past year we helped families catechize over 800 students and helped prepare 190 children for the reception of First Holy Eucharist. We also provided three First Communion parent conferences, two reconciliation retreats, and a well-attended middle school retreat. What a blessing to be able to provide so many opportunities for faith formation! The upcoming religious education year will start in August. It’s not too early to begin praying on your baptismal call to witness the faith to others. There are opportunities to be a lead catechist, a co-catechist, or a catechist assistant. Stop by the parish office to pick up an application and answer God’s call to evangelize and catechize. “No one who lights a lamp hides it away or places it under a bushel basket, but on a lampstand so that those who enter might see the light.” Luke 11.33 You are the light of the world. Come help lead the children to the light. Questions? Contact the RE office at 210-688-9033 or This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . |
